An introduction to Comprehensive Results in Social Psychology: The Why and How of peer-reviewed preregistration
Comprehensive Results in Social Psychology (CRSP) is the field's first preregistration-only journal. Read benefits for the individual researcher submitting to CRSP, addressing common questions and misconceptions that have come up along the way.
Valuing Your Time More Than Money is Linked to Happiness
According to new research, valuing your time more than the pursuit of money is linked to greater happiness. In six studies with more than 4,600 participants, researchers found an almost even split between people who tended to value their time or money, and that choice was a fairly consistent trait both for daily interactions and major life events.

Be an Undergraduate Student Mentor

Apply for the EASP Summer School
The EASP Summer School, organized every two years, provides an ideal educational opportunity to learn about theory, methodology, and research design in social psychology, while also honing communication and presentational skills. It also provides graduate students the chance to meet international graduate students and receive instruction and supervision from senior social psychologists drawn from Europe and the rest of the world. The 2016 EASP Summer School will be hosted at University of Exeter. SPSP will select five students from the US or Canada to attend and reimburse up to $750 in expenses. The application portal is open now, and will close February 15, 2016.

Last Call for Onsite Student Poster Award Judges
Calling all post-doctoral scholars, faculty, and SPSP members who hold a doctorate! The SPSP Graduate Student Committee is still looking for Student Poster Award judges for the SPSP 2016 convention. Judging for this program will provide you with useful experience and allow you to contribute to the scientific community. This position offers you the benefit of adding unique editorial experience to your CV, demonstrating your familiarity with the peer-review process. Lastly, serving as a poster judge gives you the chance to be involved in SPSP by offering support and constructive feedback to the society's student members.
Poster Award judges would be responsible for providing ratings on a few students' posters during Poster Session A at the 2016 SPSP convention, held Thursday evening, January 28, from 7-8:30pm. Rubrics for rating posters are simple and straightforward and will be provided to you at the time of the poster session. You will also receive virtual copies of the posters in advance of the convention, to facilitate the reviewing process.
If you would like to act as a SPSP GSC Student Poster Award judge, please email Benjamin Johnson, the coordinator of the event, at bnjohnson.psych@gmail.com by Monday, January 18, 2016.
